Our lodge is one of the oldest in the Province of East Lancashire being over 220 years old and steeped in history.

Thomas Milton

This picture has been kindly given to the Lodge by WBro George Scaife PAGDC, the photo is of WBro Thomas Milton PProvGstB (he is the Great Grandfather of Georges wife) a Past Master of the Duke of Athol Lodge. this picture was taken in 1888 just after he had been appointed Provincial Grand Standard Bearer for the Province of East Lancs.

WBro Milton was initiated in to the Duke of Athol Lodge in 1870, he became the WM in 1878 and for 20 years he was the Lodge DC.

He passed away in 1900 having served the Lodge for 30 years.

This Jewel was presented to WBro Milton on his prefferment to ProvGStB.
